I really wanted to like this place as the owners were very friendly and helpful and the grounds seem so well maintained and enjoyable. A serious problem for me was the main road that is approximately 100 yd from the primitive campsites. Unfortunately right at that location is a steep hill and big rig truckers are constantly running throughout the night. If they’re not using their Extremely Loud Jake brakes going down the hill they are very slowly climbing the hill making unbelievably loud noise. I did not get any sleep through the night. I thought I might use my earplugs but I could not sleep with them. I don’t know how the trailer campers manage it as I’m sure the noise can penetrate those walls. Once there was enough light in the morning I packed up and left. Unfortunately this is one place I will not return to. I had checked the reviews and unfortunately missed any complaints on noise so I wonder if those comments somehow got buried.

We stayed 2 nights in the “cozy cabin”, the kids fished in the pond and both caught fish, and it proposed to my now fiancé in front of the waterfall. Great place and we will absolutely be back as often as possible!!!!!

Great campground for over night or several days. There is a well kept extremely large pool and a very well maintained hiking trail. The campground is well maintained and the seasonal sites appear to be separate from the fairly large wooded daily sites. The owners are very friendly and the selection of local beef and pork meat is both amazing and delicious. We enjoyed our time at Camp-A-While.
