Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Haworth Park is a tranquil and scenic destination for dog owners looking for a peaceful spot in Haworth, New Jersey. Known for its well-kept grounds, lovely pond, and quiet atmosphere, this park offers families and pet owners a place to relax, fish, and enjoy nature. While there is no dedicated, fenced dog run, the park’s pet-friendly paths and open green spaces make it an excellent choice for dog-friendly walks.
The park features several benches along the pond for owners to sit and unwind, shaded areas provided by mature trees, a gazebo, and scenic views that attract visitors year-round. While geese are common around the pond, resulting in occasional muddy patches and droppings near the water, the area is generally clean and maintained. Parking is available across the street by the Police station (open to the public after 3 pm). Please note, there is no dedicated swimming area for dogs, but the pond and open spaces offer plenty of room to explore.
This place is very clean and very quiet at night very peaceful just to relax and hear the sounds of the trees and animals nearby
Big fish
Beautiful park, came by to fish. Was pleasantly surprised by the tranquility, gazebo, and lovely pond. Only complaint was the geese colonized the park.
This is a quaint little pond that doesn’t even register as a body of water on Google Maps (at time of writing). There are various benches along the perimeter to sit or fish. You’ll usually find people shore fishing during the day.
The pond itself isn’t deep. It mostly has a depth of 2-4 feet, with the deepest near the center reaching about 4.7 feet. It has three fountains to keep the water aerated. The ground near the shore is damp and sloshy as the pond gets fairly swamp-like near its perimeter. There are also geese and therefore lots of geese poo, but it’s not as egregious as other at other geese ponds.
Overall I think this would be a nice place to take your kids fishing or enjoy nature. The small town has a friendly vibe and a nice atmosphere.
Beautiful, well-kept, and maintained. However,
Parking was kind of hard to figure out. We parked across the street by the Police station, which is open to the public after 3 pm. The field was a little muddy and had geese feces all over. Walk with caution. But, overall the park is beautiful.
