2nd hike of the year! Definitely drive up the dirt road a bit to the second parking lot it’s a long steep hike up if you park near the main road. Great hike, my first time I bet it’s super beautiful in the fall. Moderate hike took about an hour in total.

🌾Thistles near the road are taller than my vehicle! ❤️ Great place to geocache. We drive this road often just to give my son a nearby car ride. We always look for animals on the way up the mountain and on the way down. I wish they would let you drive all the way to the pond. 🐿️
There is parking at the top and bottom for hiking.

Make sure you drive your car to the head of the trail. It’s quite a steep and long road if you just park right off the main road. Our purpose was really just to get to the lake to take pictures on the dock. We came late to try and get some sunset photos (not a directly sunset because it’s in a valley) but there were some really nice colors. Would’ve loved to stay and take pictures of the stars but we had a kid with us.

Easy forest road hike. Took about 1 hour to hike from the parking lot up to and around Corby Pond and that was with snow and stopping to check out the scenery. Looks like at times the road may be opened all the way back to the pond. Kyi in mind this is game lands so there are no amenities, bathrooms, picnic tables and such.
