I can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. My French Bulldog is usually very selective about the people she warms up to, but the team here instantly made her feel at home with their genuine kindness and dedication. It truly feels like a second home for her. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality dog care. Every time she comes home, she’s happily exhausted from all the playtime and attention she gets!
I cannot stop raving about this place, and for good reason! My husband and I recently adopted a 4 year old Frenchie, Tigere, who is incredibly shy/timid. I brought him here with the hopes that being around dogs his own size/temperament would help his personality bloom. Boy has it! The staff have taken in my little shy guy with wide open, loving arms, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Every single member of the staff is fantastic! They all show an incredible amount of attention to detail, care, and most importantly love. It really feels like they all love to be there. I feel like part of the family every time someone welcomes me back by name!
The space itself is brightly lit, spotless, and smells incredible (Bob, make that scent into a candle, I’d buy it). They have various toys and treats for sale, an adorable welcome basket for new “townies”, and they’ve texted me some photos, ans there’s a daily video posted on their social media that shows a little glimpse of what everyone’s up to that day… Which is very helpful if you’re anxious like I am and wonder what your dog does all day 😂
I’ve had Tigeres nails and teeth brushed once and the groomer did a great job! No more stinky breath, and his nails were cut perfectly. 💅🏼

Hound Town was amazing and I can totally see why they won Best of Hartford! This was Luna’s first time boarding anywhere and we were a little nervy about leaving her for just 3 nights – but all went very well. I also knew this because I saw her photo on Instagram while we were away and she looks very happy and relaxed. Thank you Jordan and all the staff for all you do. You guys are great!
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My rescue dog is very nervous around people and takes a while to warm up to new environments. The Hounds Town staff takes great care in giving each dog the curated attention they need based on their personality so they can have the best daycare experience. I am so beyond grateful for all the patience and love they have shown my pup. They really go the extra mile here. The facility is clean and colorful, they post everyday on Facebook so you can see your dog having the best time, and they even offer “doggie spa” services so you can come back to clean pup! It really feels like you are part of a family when you come here. Whether you are looking for daycare or boarding, Hounds Town is the BEST.
(Something else I feel to be of note: this is the first ever review I have written. I am typically the one reading all the reviews and hoping they are truthful. The fact that I am writing this means I really and truly mean it!)
I have been bringing my 5 y.o daughter Harley to Hounds Town for roughly 7/8 months now. I am always hesitant about who I trust with her since she’s a Pitbull and has battled breed discrimination in the past. Since day 1, Hounds Town Hartford has welcomed her with open arms. They provide report cards and picture updates, post daily videos, and even celebrate fun holidays with sweet treats and photo shoots. Staff at Hounds Town really took the time to learn Harley’s personality, she’s extremely gentle and sweet but can be shy in new places. So they took the time to pair her with other new puppies joining the facility to help them warm up to daycare and build confidence in group settings. I love that grooming services are on site and I can drop Harley off in the morning, and pick her up in the afternoon freshly bathed with clipped nails. Lastly, she is EXHAUSTED when I pick her up at the end of the day. She’s asleep in my backseat before I even hit the highway.
I cannot thank Hounds Town Hartford enough, but I can try. So thank you, thank you, thank you for treating my baby like she’s family. We are so grateful.
