Nice park. Very few sites that are great. As many have said, many are basically right on the Main Street. Some even back up to a new Taco Bell coming in.
Not many restaurants/bar in the area if you are into that.
Couple cute shops in town

Some other observations
──
☐ Lots of sites have power 1-2 campsites away. So consider bringing extra cords.
──
☐ 131 – we had this and it was nice.
By path
Not deep
Electric on other side
Water view great
──
☐ 134 huge
──
☐ Super nice staff
──
☐ Really nice bathroom, but consider bringing your own toilet paper. There’s is like thin crunchy non-absorbent paper.

We started with 137 – power was two sites away and it wasn’t a very nice site so we moved.

Nice park and facilities. Staff were very helpful when our electricity wasn’t working and they responded quickly. Some sites are very uneven and we needed to work hard to get it level. Overall, great area with stores nearby for any forgotten items.

Kids love this beach, not only can they go swimming but not to far is a dock to go fishing! It’s peaceful, quiet little beach and our favorite here so far. ❤️☺️

We only spent one night but probably should have stayed more. Wilson has been a state park since the 1920’s. It had one of the best beaches we’ve found at the state parks. We were told the fishing was good.

The positioning and layout of the park is reminiscent of myrtle beach, but scaled down. Positioned between a city and a body of water. There are obvious differences, but the sibling similarities are strong.

The negatives:
You can see the main road through town from all or most of the camping spots. The electric service is 30 amps max, and the power access, is awkward for many of the sites requiring upto 50 feet of extension cord.

The positives:
Mature trees, lawn or well shaded dirt. Sites are mostly level and parking in the sites is not restricted. The lake is nice and the water is clear. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We are here mid week in June and it is busier than I was expecting.

The park does have loaner extension cords (30 amp), which is very cool. Probably not enough for everyone on a weekend, but I was able to use one mid week.

The sites are good sized, but without much division between them.

The bathrooms are newer and well kept.

For an older park positioned inside a city, it is nice.
