While the park is known for its well-maintained spaces and cleanliness, what truly sets it apart is its strong sense of community, as seen in events like summer fireworks and movie nights under the stars. This is a nice place to come and hang out for a day or rent a cabin for longer. You can come here to the manmade beach and enjoy a nice time by the water. There are lifeguards and there is plenty of parking. There’s also a spot where you can rent a paddleboat or a canoe/kayak for a very reasonable price. I also saw people out on the water in their paddle boats wearing life vests, they likely have those as well, I haven’t looked myself.
Worth checking out. I wish it could get a little more financial love from other areas to support fixing up the loose wooden boards of the steps walking down towards the beach. They could benefit from having additional benches near the beach and a cleaner more updated concession area with picnic tables. I will say, we noticed the picnic tables (2 of the 4 there), having a shorter bench on one side to allow for handicapped seating. It’s always good to create public spaces that are accessible to all. All-in-all, it was a nice place to relax and spend some time.

Great park. I was surprised that there was a wheelchair accessible table. Though the parking lot didn’t have a wheelchair accessible area to get on the sidewalk and head to the tables from the car. There was a constant edge all down the parking lot. So if you’re in a wheelchair you will need help. And it’s a stone path to the picnic table area. But I had a great day. And there was 1 port-a-potty.
