This motel is affordable and gave us what we needed for a night of rest during our Pittsburgh > DC bike trip – comfy bed and hot shower. It was quiet and the other guests were friendly. On the map it looks close to the little downtown with restaurants, and it is, but Blue Hill that the motel is located on is a hill that we walked down and then up for dinner nearby. Thanks for having us!

Hubby & I stayed here during our bicycle ride of C&O-GAP trails mid-July. Marie is the new owner; 12 months new. She is in the process of upgrading the rooms and doing a great job. The room we stayed in – 113 – was very clean and roomy for us and our bicycles. The notty-pine paneling and cool seafoam-green and black tiles in the bathroom took us back to memories of our childhood. The shower was hot, plentiful and had an excellent flow. A tub to soak in after a long ride in too hot temps was just what we needed. Sure, it’s not the Hilton but if you wanted the Hilton, you’d never had looked to stay in this cute, cute town.
