Glad I had navigation as it’s a little off the beaten path. Beautiful setting with walkway, benches, scenic overlooks. It was a little difficult to get some photos without including the metal railings of some overlooks upwards from where I stood. I think it would be excellent to have a kayak/canoe to take photos of the bridge from the river!
Nice park out in the country. Well maintained and beautiful. Great for fishing, grilling, and relaxing.
This park is a lovely spot, especially during the summer. Although I’m not a fisher, I frequently see people casting their lines here, which speaks to its popularity for anglers. For me, it’s more about kayaking. The river is great for short trips—perfect if you want to paddle up and down for a bit and then return to your starting point. However, I haven’t used it as a starting or ending point yet since the river is often blocked by fallen trees along the way.
Overall, it’s a nice, peaceful area with a lot to offer, whether you’re here to fish or enjoy the water in other ways. It would be even better if the river were more regularly cleared of obstructions.
Nice park! The water is absolutely gorgeous, and the walking path is well up kept. It has pavement sidewalk for the path, and a fairly big gazebo. The dock is clean, and has good railings that look new.
Beautiful place to take in a view and have a rest. There were fishermen and other bikers. Safe area to take a break from the sea of corn you pass to get here.
