Went for a nice walk on the trail and was yelled at by hunters to wear more orange. Im not required to wear a vest plus it’s after deer season. These guys aren’t hunting quail with buck shot. So who’s in the wrong?? Additionally, my family and I just went through the PA Hunter Safety Course and passed 100% in Feb. It’s a hunters responsibility to ID what they are shooting at prior to pulling that trigger. Go hunting in the real woods, not a frequented trail 4 miles outside of Reading. 🚨Would like to put the game commission on notice hunters may be out of season in this area!
Parked at the Moselem Spring Road entrance to meet a friend for a run. The trail itself is fine: wide enough and decently maintained, while picturesque, though it is rife with horse excrement.
If you run here, bring orange gear. Rifle season doesn’t start for another two weeks but we saw several armed hunters and heard shots.
We were also yelled at by equestrians who feared our jogging would spook their horses. I was more worried about being bitten by their unleashed dogs.
It felt like an excellent place to be murdered.

Beautiful view over looking the whole lake. Great spot to stretch your legs or have lunch. *make sure to leave no trace *
