Excellent disc golf course, plenty of shade, nice tee boxes with good signs.

The recent updates to the park and disc golf course are great! The lake looks awesome but I haven’t been able to take advantage yet. The new playground and parking lot looks good to.

Disc golf park is wonderful, would be nice to have the bridges replaced since they are unsafe and an eyesore around the course. The new development however,is a bit of a let down. The play ground is not shaded/covered, there is no seating at new pavillion, the sprinklers and piping is all above ground around the walking path. The path is nicely paved but there in no seating at the Pavillion. It would be nice if there was a splash pad. Hoping to revamp the review if the city makes improvements. Its hard to see where all the money went to with these basic things overlooked.

Like many, I was was waiting ever so patiently for the re-opening of North Park. Watching it come alive in my very own backyard.I attended the grand re-opening today and I have to say, I’m disappointed. The play ground has no shade cover, no splash padThe shaded pavilion doesn’t even have tables or benches. The walking trail has white water pipes all around it making it tacky looking. There is no “easy” “accessable” handicap or senior access, it very challenging. The frisbee golf stuff is like ruined or not put back together yet. Numerous holes were moved and no new map guide placed. There are now numerous wooden open sheds, hiding dumpsters and what not that people are going to lose their frisbee in there. No movement/ regulator for the pond just 1 small bubbler, it’s already attracting mesquites, and moss yuck developing. They took away the basket ball courts, why, there is still so much empty land, that they could have replaced it.All that empty land could have been used for more opportunities like a dog park. The amphitheatre is so mini that might as well been left out. They tore down so many trees that’s it’s so sad, there are maybe 4 places where there is a new baby tree planted.Well I glad that it’s open, there was so much more they could have done.

I grew up coming here and I also brought my adult sons here when they were little. In it’s current state, this park gets pretty full because there’s a disc golf course here. They also have a children’s playground, basketball court and one baseball field and updated restrooms. I however come early in the day to eat breakfast or lunch and to enjoy the trees before the disc golf players take over the space. The only thing keeping them from getting a 5-star review is a missing, clear walking path (sidewalk) like Haltom City has at another park I enjoy going to. If they would add that, I would be here daily. People do walk here, but it’s not separated from the traffic.
