I just wish they wouldn’t have ruined the creek like they had by dredging it out, when I was a kid the whole bottom of the creek was like millions of fossils and was really cool to go down there and hunt them but now it’s like I’ll scraped out and there’s barely any fossils now it’s really sad that they destroyed so much historic artifacts and lots of treasures for kids to hunt. Every time we would go down there as a kid you would see those giant ammonites and all kinds of cool fossils but now you barely see any if at all. I understand they did it to fix like flooding issues but I’m sure they could have came up with a way to preserve the environment better than what they did. But actually the kids playground looks a lot cooler than it used to and a lot safer so that’s a plus. They should be all kinds of fish down there I’ll go fishing you catch a fish every time and turtles and crawdads and even soft shell turtles sometimes but now you’re lucky to see a minnow really.. kind of weird. There were a lot of water moccasins down there though so that’s a good thing I guess but other than that they totally destroyed the whole ecosystem down there which I wish they wouldn’t have done. I don’t mean to sound like Captain Save the Planet but the old creek was cooler than the one in Glen Rose in the dinosaur valley, there were way more fossils there in little Fossil creek. Maybe they weren’t like big, giant Tyrannosaurus Footprints or something, but there were millions of shells and little small sea creatures covering the entire bottom but not anymore., I just wish they didn’t destroy the nature aspect of it all like they have but I guess you can’t win them all.

Just my Taffy and I here on a beautiful afternoon. If I let her off leash though she’d chase those ducks right into the water and I’m not her squatty 25lbs of muscle can swim well! 🤣I love coming here when kids are in school….
