It’s an interesting place for historical reasons. There aren’t any remants of the fort. There is a beautiful view of a placid section of the Susquehanna River which includes a camp site next to the river. We saw kayakers fishing. There is a massive old sycamore tree that is approximately 275 yrs old.
So much potential. This park needs cleaned up, add more tables clearer paths. It’s sad.
There’s not much there so don’t make it a destination. There is a path along the river but it was grown over in some spots.
Historic site with a few walking trails. Not much to see other than nature and an old barn
This park is the site of a historic fort. Although they are searching for the actual footprint of the fort it has several other buildings related to the farm that came later. I had the opportunity to attend the 17 th Annual Colonial Fort Halifax Festival on May 6th,2023. The Fort was built in 1756.
