This playground is nice. The playsets are kind of small and the kids get tired of them quick. However it does have access to the ocean which is great.

It’s a cute park. The boardwalk and rails are little sketchy but says they are repairing them and adding a kayak launch. I think this would be fabulous because there really is no paddle craft access anywhere near. Didn’t see restrooms

My childhood park. Still a peaceful area. I’m excited to see they will be adding a kayak drop off.

Nice area, river needs to be kept up with way more than it is. Add gated area for dogs to roam and kid’s would be nice. Water fountain and portable potty should be installed too!

Update 9/6/22: Looks like the park is getting some upgrades. The old dock is being removed and a new floating dock built.Original Review: This is one of our go-to parks. It has separate playgrounds for bigger and smaller kids, each with its own play structure, slides, and swing set.The whole area is mostly shaded by the live oaks surrounding and in the park, which is great on hot, sunny days. The ground is mostly sand with rubber-based play surface immediately surrounding the smaller play structure, so remember to empty out those shoes before getting back in the car!At the back of the park are stairs leading down to a small dock with a bench. It’s a nice place to let the kids look for fish, crabs, or birds. Be careful, though, there are no safety railings around the dock. There is one small, covered pavilion and two other picnic tables, as well as a bench or two. There is a water fountain, but it has very low pressure, so I suggest bringing your own.My only complaint is that the is no fence along the front of the park. There is a large area of grass between the play areas and the road, so it’s not what I would call dangerous, but it could be improved. And lastly, you can even stop at the little library right outside the gate on your way home!
