A pretty loop going down to the boardwalk across a marsh – in May it’s spectacular. The initial trail is pretty steep but ok for our 70+ knees. When the wind is from the West the noise from rte 95 can be distracting.
Enjoyed the mixed terrain. Beautiful lichens, mosses and bogs with elevated walkway. The trail can get very wet in other low areas. Late winter hike proved that tick “season” is now every season in CT.
Beautiful! all terrain ankle support hiking boots suggested and PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG LEASHED!
