Discover Tante Park, a rustic dog park in Groveland, Illinois, perfect for pet owners seeking an off-leash adventure. Nestled amidst woods and a quiet stream, this park offers natural beauty and abundant wildlife, making it ideal for dogs who love to sniff and explore open spaces. While facilities are basic and the trails are minimally maintained, the peaceful atmosphere and scenic trails provide a unique retreat for both dogs and their owners.
Tante Park is especially appealing for those looking for a more secluded pet-friendly spot, thanks to light foot traffic and its open, off-leash policy. Dog owners can enjoy leisurely strolls, birdwatching, or even spotting deer along the trails. However, be prepared for minimal amenities — there are no restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables, or playgrounds, and the parking area is limited. This is a true nature experience for you and your canine companions!
Trails and facilities poorly kept, entrance to park is the best maintained area. Not recommended for family hiking. Makes one wonder where tax money for public up keep is actually going.
Not really a park. Just a wooden TP
Nice park. The beautiful oak tree is dead. No tables or restrooms.
Nice woods and stream. I was here in the winter. I’d like to come back in the spring and summer. The trail was not too obvious. We walked all the way through the woods to the back of the park.
No picnic table. No bathrooms. No play ground.
I’ve been here many times. The trail isn’t kept up well, and there isn’t much parking, but it’s still fun to explore. My dog loved being off leash smelling everything. The trail leads back to a pasture. Since the trail isn’t kept up well, and there aren’t usually people there, wildlife is abundant. Good place to birdwatch and see deer.
