🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
GCSD Dog Park is a favorite among locals and visitors in the Groveland and Yosemite area, providing a safe, fenced space for dogs to run and play off-leash. Nestled just outside Yosemite, this members-only dog park at 12528 Flint Ct features a well-maintained, gated facility for registered dogs, making it a unique find compared to other parks in California. Daily social meet-ups around 11am and 4pm create a friendly, welcoming community for both dogs and their owners.
Please note that a permit and access code from the Groveland Community Services District (GCSD) are required for entry, making the park exclusive to registered users. While the park generally receives praise for its friendly crowd and secure environment, be aware that running water is not always available, especially during the hot summer months. If you’re seeking a dog-friendly spot near Yosemite to let your furry companion enjoy off-leash fun and socialization, this Groveland dog park is a great option.
Found the dog park on Google and when we arrived it was closed and required a pet permit and code to enter.
Can’t believe you need a code to go to a freaking dog park!! I have been to others in California and Arizona, and no code just walk in. They are nicer too.!!!
Gated door, very frustrating for someone who just googled dog parks along a roadtrip to let the pup stretch and get some energy out. But I guess that’s what locals want? I’ve never seen a members only dog park, but now I have.
One of my favorite things about Groveland and the Yosemite area! You will need to register your dog(s) with GCSD prior to arriving as there is a gate code.
Many locals meet around 11am and 4pm daily to socialize. Great dogs, great people and wonderful park!
It’s a very nice park but lacks running water. There are hose bibs but they are dry. At least during hot summers cool water for our fur missiles running at breakneck speed would be nice.
