We took our year old puppy to Shauna and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. When we brought our dog back home, Shauna reviewed, taught and showed us all that our dog had learned.Shauna is responsive to any questions I have. She is trustworthy and amazing at what she does.

We highly recommend Green Valley Dog Training.Shauna who runs Green Valley is amazing. We started with Shauna eight years ago, with training our dog Arnie. Her training methods and practices are very effective. Arnie is such a. well behaved and fun, loving Dog. We have boarded Arnie with Green Valley since that time. It is like his second home. The facilities are clean and expensive. Shauna and her family treat the dogs with love and care.

Shauna trained my 4 month old puppy for two weeks in May 2025. She goes above and beyond to help teach you to understand whats best for you and your pet. She spends alot of time with your pet which helps to attain the best results possible while your pet is in her care. I highly recommend their services

We took our 7month old Amstaff to Shauna for boarding and training. Shauna took great care of Harley and took her from a roudy little puppy to a well trained companion. We didn’t know what to expect and needed someone to watch her when we went on vacation. With our surprise we got her back with detailed instructions and how to keep up what she learned in puppy boot camp. After just 3 weeks at home she is a completely different dog. We highly recommend anyone thinking of training to follow through it is completely worth it!!! Shauna follows up with us and answers any questions we have had during the transition period. Highly… Highly… recommend.

Drivers Flat Rd from the staging area down to the campground is well-maintained hardpacked gravel but it is very steep in spots. Nothing a standard passenger car can’t handle but there’s evidence that folks who lost traction have dug ruts. The road and the campground are closed October 15 – April 15. You can still park at the top (it’s a fee area) and hike down and back if you’re in decent shape. Equestrians and bicyclists are also OK during the off season. There are 5 designated campsites, each with a picnic table. Advance registration is required and no ground fires or barbecues are permitted. There are pit toilets and parking for day visitors. There is also drive up access to the river for rafters both above and below some rapids.

Though the drive there is a little rough and bumpy, it is absolutely gorgeous. You have to like roughing it though.

I have always loved visiting here for the day and we just had our first opportunity to stay the night. The campgrounds are basic and the rafting companies are coming in and out during the afternoon, but the riverside location can’t be beat!!

It was so hot! I mean 110+ °f. Don’t come to this campsite during the summer unless you want to feel the burn or be in freezing American river the whole trip. I think this campsite would be much better if come during early spring or late fall. Don’t make the same mistake I did. My truck thermometer was saying it got up to 118 the one day we stayed here.
