Absolutely amazing park! Playground for little kids and all kinds of other activities for older. Soccer fields, baseball, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts. They even have bathrooms easily accessible.
Yes this is the only public open space with greenery within the city of Greenville. The nearly endless Vistas of prairie grass encircled by a concrete path are saccharine in taste. No trees and zero shade besides a giant picnic table pavilion. Lots of empty sports fields and Giant Mall sized parking lot stress civilization at the expense of nature.
Nice place to have fun. Playground for kids in a confined area so you don’t worry about them. Nice ponds full of bass, crappie, & catfish. Lots of field to play sports and a nice place to go for a cardio work out.
Great park for everything, except fishing. There is a pond and dock for fishing but there is so much debris and reeds that have grown up that you can’t fish from the dock. You can find a couple of areas on the other side of the pond to fish from. The rest of the park is great. Public restrooms, play ground, baseball and soccer fields.
