Quiet camping the end of August in Beechwood campground. Amenities are within driving distance. Beach and swimming is crowded as it is a public day use area. Lake was not accessible from our location except for fishing. Hiking is a lot of tree roots and rocks. Bathrooms are an A+

It’s a really nice park. The grounds are kept, and the lot spaces are, for the most part, all good with modern electricity hookups. While each site does not have its own water hookup, there are a few taps that can be accessed by the majority of the sites. There is lots to do nearby with the large lake, dam, a beach for swimming, kayaking, hiking, and more. The only slight negative is that the bathroom facilities are showing their age a bit. But they are still quite servisable. Cell service is spotty at best, and there is no WIFI
