I enjoyed being in such a beautiful place. The day was warm. The trees still were colorful. Only two or three other cars were around. I got to sit and read, then took a walk. I saw a red squirrel ,many birds, and a few deer.
I found this gem purely by accident. Very easy trail, while I was walking I met a staff member that gave me a lot of information about the trail. She showed me how they check for ticks, happy she had not found any. Went into the building that looks like a barn, again the staff was informative. I will be happy to go back to walk again.
4 stars is for the down hill trail, a bit rough. Nice garden to walk around & view plants. Plants are labeled. Bench in the shade was very nice. Worth a stop & see intrest.
Looking at it you would never expect the size of the reserve. Beautiful flower gardens, amazing view, and if you’re a lover of butterflies like mwah you will most certainly will get some breathtaking moments. Many trails, informational signs along the way to inform you on some fun facts. Overall its worth a stop
Nice picnic area. Dog friendly. Plenty of places to sit along the way. Honey bees, info on local plants and wildlife, and tips on invasive species. More trail markers/signs would be great. I’m sure it’s easier to see everything later in spring/summer.
