Ted’s Trail Trailhead & Parking offers a scenic destination for those seeking dog-friendly hiking options in Greenfield, NH. This trailhead acts as a gateway to well-maintained woodland trails featuring beautiful outlooks, peaceful wooded scenery, and a tranquil atmosphere ideal for walking your dog. With a mix of flat areas and elevation gains, it provides rewarding hikes for both beginner and seasoned pet owners looking to experience nature alongside their canine companions.
The area is praised for its cleanliness, plenty of green space, and a sense of safety. You’ll find enough parking for several cars and easy access to dirt trails, bridges, sitting benches, picnic tables, and even artwork along the way. While not a fenced dog park, Ted’s Trail is a popular alternative for those looking for dog-friendly trails instead of strictly off-leash areas. Shaded routes, lovely bird sounds, and quiet forest experiences make it a hidden gem for pet owners in the region.
It’s a nice trail. The waterfall was very small and not really worth the trip.
Ted’s Trail is an enjoyable route with a variety of terrain and some options along the way for alternate routes to the summit. There are at least two good view outlooks around the hallway point and a limited view at the summit.
5-6 parking spots on a dirt road. Ted’s Trail and Carolyn’s Trail were both lovely. We went here since Monadanock doesn’t allow dogs.
Amazing hike! Parking across from starting point. Not too wet in early June, wasn’t too many mosquitoes either. I was the only one on parking and didn’t meet anybody during my trail on Wed morning which was nice. 6miles total.
Views were incredible. Met a bunch of tiny red dragons, cute but be careful not to step on them! Elevation is high so make sure you wear appropriate shoes
Fantastic trail up to North Pack Monadnock! I highly recommend going up Carolyn’s Trail (steeper scramble at the top) then coming down Ted’s trail (less damage to your knees).
The photos are of the Cliff Trail near the summit.
There’s enough proper parking for maybe a dozen cars. Not sure if street parking is allowed since we didn’t need it.
