One of our favorite state parks. We have a small pop up camper, and we often bring a kayak for the lake. My spouse fishes for fun. There is a beach just for campers, but there is also a public access beach.

Amazing campsite with clean bathrooms and warm showers. It’s beautiful and we were just a short walk from the lake.

Stayed in September 2025 during the off-season, which meant very few people around—a big plus. Check-in staff were friendly and welcoming. The beach and swimming area were excellent, and the park had some great bike rides. Everything was very quiet, with plenty of space between campsites—much better than the packed, commercial-style campgrounds. We didn’t bring our dogs this trip, but agreed it would be a fantastic spot for them since the sites are so spread out. We would definitely stay again.

A note for anyone with a fifth wheel: at site 87 you’ll need to pull all the way into 88 to get in, or else back down the road. I recommend walking the area first to see if pulling into 88 will give you the best angle to back in.

Quite and serene surroundings to camp and relax. Ample parking with options of washroom available.
A lot of spots to do barbecue and benches to accommodate large groups. Lake nearby to swim.
Park closes at around 7, so plan accordingly.
