Probably one of the best well cared rail trails in Sussex County. With many signal and telegraph poles still in existence

Why doesn’t this trail continue through to Whitehall Rd ?
And in fact through the tunnel where it would run continuously to Andover?

Nice gravel rail trail. Not heavily trafficked. Easy parking at Evergreen Park. Signage near the tennis courts to guide you to trail. Good for walks, biking, horseback riding. Trail ends at Creek road, just about 1.25 mi in. (2.5 mi total)

The trail is crushed gravel and flat. No hills. Not much to see, but quiet and didn’t see anyone for most of our 45-minute walk.
The day we went it was pretty “buggy ” so remember to bring plenty of insect repellent. There’s a nice ball field, tennis courts and playground at the end.
