Practice what you preach. You claim the stray animal population is out of control, but make it impossible to bring in strays by finding any excuse to turn people away. Also funny that you (Tabitha) call me a liar when you blatantly lie about not having space and pretending that you’ll accept them at a later date when space clears up, when you already decided you weren’t going to take them at all and couldn’t just be honest and tell me, even though I’ve never been rude to you before (until now, when it’s undeniable what you’re doing).

“Fill out these fake forms with photos so we can let you know when space clears up.” Weeks later, nothing. Called to inquire about the status of space clearing up, met with an extremely rude and dismissive response. Come to find out, they string you along, since if the strays are under your care for a certain amount of time, they are legally your pets now and they don’t have to accept them. Of course she’ll find any excuse not to anyway since she doesn’t actually care about the stray animal population and people trying to do the right thing. Just having a fake sense of power and authority by being as nasty as possible to well meaning people with her little pseudo interrogations. It’s honestly humorous that people can be so insecure, miserable, and unfulfilled that this tiny illusion of power is worth holding on to so tightly. There’s more to life than your little chair and desk.

They also keep tabs on certain people they don’t like in order to make sure to turn them away no matter what. “Sigh, it’s such and such” before walking (waddling) to the back to consult with management on how to treat you as badly as possible before turning you away. Like accusations of being a thief. Vile, awful people here. Especially Tabitha at the front desk, though it goes beyond her. She’s just the face.

Anyway, don’t worry about it. We’re never coming back here. We’ll do what we can to take care of and re-home these kittens without your help. It’s obvious that no matter what, we weren’t going to get it anyway. And honestly, with the nasty, shady things I’ve seen and heard, I don’t trust they’d have been taken care of there anyway. Being responsible and doing the right thing can be more fulfilling than trying as hard as possible to avoid having any integrity. You should try it. You might see that you can be your own person and not just a peon of upper management.

And anyone reading this, this wasn’t a one time thing. There’s a history of being mistreated here and just putting up with it. Enough’s enough at some point. Anyone who’s gone through it knows exactly what I’m talking about, and so does Tabitha.

I can’t wait for the shelter to relocate. It’s such a drive but we love this place. I just wish more people were responsible and spayed and neutered their pets. The kitten population is just booming. Tabitha at the front desk is awesome. I have no idea how she does it. Phone ringing, people coming and going with adoptions, fostering, and bringing in kittens to see if their adoptable. I love all the team work too. Everyone has a role and it works almost effortlessly. Please take the time to trap any kittens and get them in for TNT or for a screening to be adopted.
