“Every other week, I find myself drawn back to the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale, where the dahlia garden reaches its breathtaking peak by late September, transforming the grounds into a living tapestry of color and beauty. Beyond the stunning blooms and diverse plantings, the arboretum offers a complete experience with concerts, a welcoming cafe, and the chance to step inside history through its preserved historical house.“
The first time I visited was fall. Then I visited again in Spring. Different seasons have different impression but all beautiful. .. Attached a few pictures for your enjoyment 😊
It’s a state park so you payNULL admission. However, it’s free today… Probably it’s off season? You also no need to pay if you are senior and visit on a weekday.
There are plenty parkings, a restaurant, and clean restrooms. Plenty of flowers in spring time and foliage was so pretty in fall. I love walking along the lake and get on the Breezy Island. The park is big so it’s not crowded. You can spot some birds there easily…I even saw a few wild turkeys today!!
