Great hike along a lovely creek. A little hard to tell when the hike actually ends (I think the trail goes on and connects with some other trail in the mountains). We turned back once we got above the tree line. Some miles into the hike there’s some open areas where we spotted a moose 100-120 yards from the trail. Hiked it with some buddies in early June.
Beautiful hike for the changing fall color – Guenalla Pass never disappoints!
Discovered this trail in August. We followed the creek heading up to Mt. Logan. The trail has some light elevation gain as you hike mostly in the shade of the tree canopy. Saw about 6 other groups all day, plus one campsite. Once to the top of Mt. Logan, you have an amazing view of Mt. Evans and Mt. Bierstadt from the South. An excellent choice for a close hike to Denver, if you want to stay away from the more popular trails in the Pass.
Technically closed and very snowy so we didn’t do the full hike but WOW!
This is really lovely place!! Great if you want to connect with the nature!
