FAQ for Dog Park in Granite Falls Minnesota:
Fenced area near a noisy road. Fence is short enough for larger dogs to jump over, so beware. No water features to play in (there is a water fountain), no agility course, little terrain to snuffle through, no misting/cooling station, etc. Only a couple trees give shade on one end. A big section is paved over, and it’s old and breaking apart. That’s probably where any benches or covered tables would go if there were any. Nowhere for people to sit while dogs play. I guess they don’t want anyone to stay there for too long. Some trash (including broken liquor bottles) and TONS of poop when we visited. People don’t clean up after their dogs, so the city must do regular pick-ups or the space will become a parvo hotspot. They did get the entryway right with the dual-gate to keep pets from running out when people are entering, but that’s the bare minimum for a dog park. Hoping they invest more into the space as time goes on, but not much to do there now.
Such a nice place for the dogs
