Central Bark Dog Park

Its really a good place. Its wide open and well maintained, has 2 separate areas for large dogs and a smaller enclosure for little ones. Lots of rocks and trick teaching apparatuses for training dogs if your wanting to do that.

This review is simply for the Dog Owners who take their pets to this park and are negligent in their supervision. The park itself is great: spacious, convenient and clean.
The first time, my 11-month old Rottweiler, who is sweet as pie, was entering the large dog park and this dog approached and would not leave him alone. I kept my dog leashed until he got comfy and this dog continued following us. And finally, he started growling and jumped on my dog. I finally had to holler “Who’s dog is this? He’s attacking my dog!” And the owner finally got up from the bench and grabbed his dog; he held him for the remainder of their visit.

Friday was the final straw!! This was the 2nd time he was attacked. A guy brought his 2 dogs in, (Pit/Husky mix, he said) and they were playing around and very energetic. As soon as I decided to leave with my dog, they came over and got really rowdy and aggressive with him. Biting, growling and unfortunately dominated him; he couldn’t defend himself.
And as much as I wanted to jump in, I couldn’t prevent 2 dogs from interacting with him in that manner. And the owner stood by and let them get so aggressive. Eventually they calmed down and his exact words to my dog were, “I’m sorry they jumped you, buddy!”

My dog had been in the large yard for at least 30 minutes and had been playing with other dogs perfectly fine, until these 2 came in.

Won’t be visiting this park from here on out. And if you do, keep your pets close…

Plenty of space. Segmented lots for small and big dogs. Not much shade, so if you come, bring sunscreen. Also bring bug spray if it’s the warm seasons. Best hours to go are between 6:30pm and 8:00pm. In the summer, come after 7:30pm since most people will avoid the heat of day. More dogs will be there then. That said if your dog needs less stimulation, just come earlier since there will be less dogs and people.

Love the amount of space for dogs here! Just wished more pet owners would pick up after their dogs. There are sometimes small dogs in the large dog area which can be worrisome. But the large dogs that do come are very friendly!

Always clean & well kept. My doggo loves this park. There are 3 different areas for them to play in based off size. Poop bags on site as well!
