This park is an ideal destination for children and families. If you are planning a birthday celebration, you will find ample tables and chairs, volleyball courts, and picket ball courts to accommodate your needs.
Nice park with a water play area for young kids. Great for birthdays or get together. There are pavilions you can rent. Also a playground and pickleball courts. Clean well maintained rest rooms.
What a wonderful relaxing place to take your kiddos and cool off. The rocks and stream is unique and the splash pad and playground are a bonus along with musical instruments the kiddos can interact with. Pavilions are a nice place for shaded or to have a picnic. Clean restrooms and plenty of opportunities to have a good time, did I mention they also have a volleyball 🏐 sandcourt and a path to walk around the park along the river. This place is top notch, I highly recommend it!
We love it here, mostly for the rocky stream walk, but also the splash pad and musical things around the sidewalk. The beach volleyball court is really nice, and my daughter loves to act like she’s at the beach here! The only thing I don’t like is the picnic tables’ proximity to the splash pad, I’m forever getting wet while trying to read. But plenty of other nice places to sit along the rocks and in the grass.
Nice, big park. We had a picnic here for Father’s Day, and everyone really enjoyed it. The splash pad is very nice, but beware, it is well water, so there is a lot of discoloration. The rock river was really neat, too. You can fish at the river but there’s a lot of brush and that made it difficult for more than one person to fish at a time. They also have corn hole boards, no bags though, so bring your own.
Nice pavilions. My DIL rented one 4 years ago for my grandson’s birthday. However, there wasn’t any signage that said it had been rented out, and another family came in and set up a party of their own prior to us getting there, had balloons and tables decorated and taken up half of the pavilion. She rented this one specifically for the location to the bathrooms and splash pad. I’d suggest making sure the parks department does a better job securing paid reserved spots. After talking with the other family, who were very apologetic and didn’t know they’d taken up a paid for area, they did split the fee with my DIL so they didn’t have to move ALL of their food, decorations, gifts etc. But that then limited the space we had for guest seating and set up. We made it work, but hopefully, they’ve implemented a better plan.
