Stow Grove Park is a favorite community spot and dog-friendly gathering place in Goleta, California. Surrounded by tall redwoods and oaks, the park offers a peaceful atmosphere ideal for those looking for a tranquil spot to walk their dogs, relax, or enjoy a shaded picnic. The large, grassy field provides plenty of space for on-leash strolls and games of fetch, making it popular for dog owners seeking pet-friendly trails in the Goleta area.
Families will love Stow Grove Park’s combination of amenities, including numerous shady picnic tables, barbecue grills, clean restrooms, a playground, volleyball courts, and accessible features like wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking. It’s well-maintained, has plenty of benches for relaxing, and is a wonderful space for birthday celebrations or a quiet afternoon under the trees. Stow Grove Park is one of the most dog-friendly parks in Goleta, though pets must remain on-leash and there are no designated off-leash, fenced, or separate dog areas.
Great spot in a suburban setting for a picnic with shady picnic tables and bathrooms. No views but well maintained.
I love stow grove park! Just a cool chili park that’s pretty different than a lot of the parks in Goleta and Santa Barbara. Visiting the park reminds me of being in the giant redwoods or the sequoias with all the tall trees. It’s really quiet and peaceful place with a playground and volleyball courts. Lots of picnic tables and places to grill some food. Park in super clean and the restrooms a decently clean could use some tlc but still clean.
Stow Grove has been a favorite park of mine since I was a little kid. It is peaceful with lots of trees, picnic areas and play areas for the kids. Nice place to take dogs for a walk. Even a large grass area for sports
A sweet park with lots of park benches and a little redwood forest that is next to the live oak so they’re not going to live very long. Totally different climates silly people! Of course star loved it and she met a new friend!
Lovely, shady park with stands of redwood trees. Great place to walk your dog.
