This is a beautiful park!! It is very clean and well maintained! There is a nice hiking trail, and a really fun playground for the kids! My grandchildren loved it! There is also a large covered pavilion for picnics with a grill, cornhole, horseshoes, a baseball field, and a soccer field! There is also bathroom facilities along with a gold mining museum that is open Wednesdays through Saturdays. I highly recommend it!
Great park that’s not crowded. Monroe Park has a museum on-site, play area, a sand volleyball court, baseball diamond, open field for football or soccer with goals, covered picnic area and paved areas/walkways to ride bikes or skate. When the museum is open, you can use the indoor restrooms. Otherwise, they do have Don’s Jon’s available for use near the paved parking lot. The covered picnic area is available for rent for larger gatherings. Anyone has access to it when not in use.
