Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Located conveniently at the intersection of the Goffstown Rail Trail and Moose Club Park Road, the Goffstown Rail Trail Parking area offers easy access to one of the region’s liveliest pet-friendly trails. This spot is a local favorite for dog owners seeking dog-friendly hiking in Goffstown, NH. The trail is ideal for long, peaceful walks with your pup, providing scenic woodlands and a chance to spot local wildlife. While the rail trail itself isn’t a traditional fenced dog park, it’s a wonderful place to explore on leash with your dog and even features a swim spot where both people and dogs can cool off in warmer months.
Amenities at the site include a small paved parking area (with a dedicated handicap space), crosswalk access, and an information kiosk. Although the parking lot is sometimes covered with snow in winter and may be limited during busier times, the trail tends to be quiet, especially if you visit early in the day. The spot is not fenced, and there are no dedicated small or large dog areas, but the open space and low crowds can be appealing to those seeking a more relaxed outing. Please note, the trail runs near areas where homeless camps may exist and may not be fully wheelchair accessible beyond the parking lot ramp.

It’s close to us and very nice…if you’re into a long trail with hardly any people, then get there early. One thing, tho, they don’t clear the small parking area.🫤
It was a few feet high with snow a few weeks ago, so i wasn’t able to park or walk our dog. I haven’t been back, but I will make another attempt this week.
