Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Foothills Dog Park is a community-friendly dog park located in Glendale, AZ. It offers a spacious area for dogs to enjoy off-leash play and socialization. The park provides essential amenities such as seating and parking to enhance visitor comfort. It’s a great spot for dog owners in the area to bring their pets for outdoor exercise and interaction.
Where Small Dogs Dream Big (Maybe Too Big)
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of comedy and canine cardio, Foothills Dog Park is your spot. My pit bull and I are regulars here, and I’ve got to say, watching dogs of all sizes live their best lives in either the small or large dog areas never gets old. The amenities are solid – water fountains work most days, there’s plenty of space to run, and someone’s always left behind a tennis ball or two for communal use.
The entertainment here is absolutely unmatched, though sometimes unintentionally so. Case in point: there’s this one regular, an older gentleman whose tiny dog has apparently never received the memo about size differences. This little Romeo spends his park visits attempting to woo every large dog in sight, including my very patient pit bull who clearly didn’t sign up for speed dating. Despite these occasionally awkward encounters, the park remains a great place to let your dog burn off energy and socialize – just be prepared for some interesting “meet-cutes” and bring extra poop bags. Trust me on that last part.
This is the most amazing dog park. I have ever been to. It’s got 4 separate runs. 2 for small dogs, 2 for large dogs. 2 entrances 1 from each end. Access to a long walking path if that’s your flavor well kempt. Just amazing if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
There are 4 areas for dogs. They are devided into large and small dog areas. Two are available on a rotating basis. People arrive very early and stay quite late.
People are dog serious.
The park is always clean and has fresh water.
Cool place! Has some ramps and platforms for dogs to use…..not that any dog uses them, let’s be real. The only dogs that know how to use those are the well trained dogs…..not normally at dog parks lol….anyway this place has a ton of human seats that are covered, so you can stay out of the sun. The only down side is that there is a lot of random concrete that can become dangerous for a running dog.
The main area open now is long and thin, the big dog area is being upgraded with sun shades. Right next to the library, and all of the people are friendly and take care of their dogs. This is a good place to bring your dog’s and kids.
