Dennis Brian Murray Dog Park in Glen Cove is a spacious, wheelchair accessible dog park featuring two large fenced areas separated for small and large dogs. It offers a large parking lot and a playground nearby, making it a family-friendly place. While the park is well-liked for its sociable environment and size, it lacks shaded areas and has mostly dirt ground which can get muddy when wet. Water access requires temporarily leaving the dog in the fenced area. There have been concerns about aggressive dogs in the park, so supervision is suggested.

Went today and now for the second time my dog was attacked by the same black dog with an owner that carries a spray bottle to try to control him. I usually bring my dog and family every weekend to the park but today ended it. There needs to be a presence from the town since this same dog has attacked other dogs. When they are not around other patrons of the park talk about the same issue. My dog is a 10 month old puppy that shouldn’t be attacked by any dog at a public dog park. Good luck to all that go there!! You are going to need it if this dog and uncaring owner are there.
Good thing they added the dog park. This park wasn’t attracting the greatest activity. Now it’s great place to stop in and let’s the dogs play and have kids use the playground. But the playground needs some attentions and perhaps some new grass for the dogs. The area is all dirt and turns to mud when it rains. Not sure what the best solution is for that (if any).
This dog park is big, that’s about the only positive thing. There is really no place for the dogs to play in the shade, it’s a wide open space that gets all of the sun. To get water you must leave your dog in the fenced-in area, fill your bowls with a hose, and return. The grass is cut occasionally but the area is mostly dirt.
One of the nicest, cleanest parks for pups, and the “humans”, are sociable pet friendly people,🐶
Glen Cove has a fantastic Dog park! It’s huge and has a massive parking lot. There’s a small playground on the right side when you pull in. There are two large fenced-in play areas, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. You can also walk around the huge park. It’s a great hidden gem. If you live in the area, you should definitely check it out! 🐶❤️🇺🇸🐶
