Beautiful spot definitely worth checking out. The waterfall was lovely and the general terrain was really impressive! We were able to do a two mile loop hike that was very manageable for our 8 and 4 year old. We walked down to the waterfall, played around there by the river etc for a bit, then on the walk back up we crossed the little bridge (pictured, a left coming from the bottom) and followed the trail with the green/teal blazes. That took us to a white blazed trail, which we turned right on, and that took us right back to the parking lot. Parts of the trail were hard to see at times under the leaves but the blazes easy to follow. Lovely fall hike!

Amazing views here. Coming down the hill to see this was worth it. Walking back up, on the other hand, was a piece of work. Great exercise for sure

Such a beautiful waterfall! Parking was free and it was about a mile out and back to the bottom of the falls from the overview parking lot.

Ample parking and easy walk to view the top falls.
The bottom falls have a great view, leisure hike and worth the ten minute walk. Great place to walk the pup and take pics. Follow the path and obey the “no swimming” signs.

Hidden gem! Mine Kill Falls is a waterfall in Blenhemin, NY. It is located just outside of the Mine Kill State Park. There is no charge to see the waterfall.
The waterfall has an upper falls viewing stand area and a lower falls viewing area. The lower falls is the better of the two areas to view the falls from. It requires a short hike to get down to the bottom of the falls. The trail to the bottom is well marked and easy to follow.
The upper viewing area isn’t bad and you can see a good part of the waterfalls, but the view is obstructed by trees. It is an easy walk from the parking lot to this part of the falls. Although the view is not as good the lower part of the falls take some time to go here.
Most people will probably spend an hour or less here. If you are in the area or passing through be sure to stop by and take a glimpse of the falls.
