If you’re searching for a pet-friendly park with scenic views and dog-friendly hiking, Geneseo Prairie Park in Geneseo, Illinois, is a popular local destination. The park boasts a variety of well-kept hiking and biking trails that welcome both two- and four-legged visitors. With plenty of open spaces for dogs to run, this park offers an enjoyable escape for nature lovers, dogs, and families alike.
Geneseo Prairie Park is known for its natural beauty, making it a favorite not just among dog owners but also photographers and artists. While there is wheelchair accessible parking and the area is generally good for kids, amenities such as seating and restrooms are limited or not available. Visitors appreciate the easy, dog-friendly walks and the central location, with a convenience store nearby for snacks and bathroom stops.
It is a very popular park for photographers and artists. There is alot of traffic for such a small park. The place is beautiful for what it is.
Not alot to say. It’s just an open place for your dog to run. Needs so help. Like more places for pet parent’s to sit. Better locking entrance gates.
Love this place! One of my favorite local walks
Very nice, plenty of trails. Most are pretty well-kept. Some are a little more hidden and harder to find.
Nice city park. Hiking trails & MTN bike trails are shared. Easy to put in 4ish miles without repeating.
Didn’t see any bathrooms , pit-potties or otherwise… Use the Casey’s just up the highway for goodies & a quick bathroom stop
