While not a dedicated dog park with fenced-in areas, Doumas Park is dog-friendly and a nice spot for those seeking a place to walk their pets in Gaylord. Dogs are welcome on-leash, allowing visitors to enjoy a brief walk with their furry friends on pet-friendly trails within the park—an ideal option if you’re looking for a quick outing or pause in the area. People highlight the park’s shade, cleanliness, and open atmosphere, but note it is best suited for shorter walks rather than active off-leash play.
Kind of a run down area. Not much there but a playset and a few short paved paths. Less than a city block.
Was unsure about if the park would fit for me since the highlighted review says to leave your dog at home. Imagine my surprise when I seen that dogs ARE welcome. Not big enough to play fetch in but good to walk your dog around a bit. Although this worked for my dog and I today when there isn’t snow the dog park is better suited for our needs.
Has a grill, pavilion with picnic tables, and restrooms. The playground area is well maintained. Nice clean park to meet and eat!
The children really enjoyed the park and I enjoyed the fact that most of it was shaded. The little ones can play much longer without the worry of immediate sunburns and becoming overheated. The only downfall we noticed was the lack of swings, but the other equipment was nice and easily enjoyed by children of all ages.
A great place to stop with the kids. Has a bathroom if needed. Great for all ages would love to see another small structure for the baby/toddler age group as some of the stuff gets pretty high and they go through tunnels which not all parents can chase their toddlers through them. Overall it’s one of our go to parks in the area.
