Reviews

NICA Mississippi Mustangs MTB first race. Beautiful Park and Great Bike and Hiking Trails!!

Went there for the first time today. Not as big as the Ocean Springs one but it’s not bad. Mostly grass. But no poop bags in the holder. And could use a double gated entrance to keep from dogs running out.

Great park. Lots of nature to explore. The camp sites are nice, and have everything we need. We will be coming back more.

EDIT:
DOG PARK IS NOT SECURE.
My dog saw another dog outside of the fence and was able to easily crawl under the fence links. They are not secure on the bottom. Your dog can 100% get out of this park.
Clean but a small space. No other dogs were there. No drinking station. Well maintained and I liked the little tables.

Shepard State Park is well-maintained, quiet, and filled with natural beauty all around. There are so many great walking trails, but I wish there were more-detailed maps and signage because it’s easy to get turned around.
