FAQ for Gatlinburg Dog Park in Gatlinburg Tennessee:
Love this Dog park when we are in town. We always make a point to bring our boys so they can burn off some energy. They always get so excited when we pull into the parking lot. One of the nicest dog parks we have been to.
Very oldish park, but has a good warm vibe. Peaceful atmosphere and fun “nature hunt” on the playground and useful learning tools if you are into it.
Our dog loved this place. There are natural woods enclosed within the park for your dog to explore. He had a fantastic time exploring and running around on his first family vacation.
This isn’t a standard dog park as there is a sizable wooded area for your dog to run and play. This is located in the large dog section only. If you aren’t very mobile you will find it difficult to get up and down the terrain to find your dog and/or keep after them. However, my dog loves this aspect and runs up and down the trails pretty much the whole time we are there (unless there is another dog distracting her and she wants to play). There is a shaded area as you walk in and a larger open area beyond the wooded section. Plenty of benches for sitting and they aren’t all next to the smelly trash cans like the Sevierville dog park. Access to drinking water and poo bags. There seems to be a lot of bumblebees flying around. But I didn’t mind too much as they are fairly harmless but be careful about your dog trying to eat them. The small dog park is VERY small and fairly uneventful if you ask me. But we never go in there because I have a larger dog (40lbs).Getting to this dog park from Sevierville or Pigeon Forge can be arduous depending on your route. Lots of winding roads. The rest of the park is nice enough. Some paths to walk around on.
We stayed at twin creek campground, about 3 to 4 miles from Mills park, great location, nice, clean, dog park. friendly people and dogs. Be sure and walk the whole park to the one side is a big flat grassy area. Very nice and clean park.
Beautiful dog park. Love the fenced in ability as well as the little nature trail and wooded area. Not to mention some area is turf for playing as well. We interacted with 3 other dogs here and they were all friendly and had tons of space to run. We found a little field area off to the right and played frisbee
