Not a bad playground. It’s definitely showing its age with some broken pieces (as seen in pictures) but overall, decent. Quiet. Sandy. Not much trash so the town must keep it generally clean. Porta potties available. Next to a very large dog park.
I’m glad I found out about this dog park thru the DogPack app. Plenty of parking and there is lots of room for our two dogs to run and learn to socialize with other dogs. There are two areas, one for smaller and a huge area for large dogs. The entries are double gated to prevent escapes. Water and poop bags are provided.
The ONLY complaint I have is that muddy/closed off area. Otherwise, my dog had a great time with the pack and even tried out the agility course (it was her first time).
I haven’t had major issues at this dog park until now, but beware that the small dog area is next to the large dog area. While there is a gate that closes off the two, there is a large I mean LARGE amount of space of the missing dirt below the gate that has not been fixed for months. Which led to my small dogs easily crawling underneath and meeting the much larger dogs from the other side. Thankfully no fights took place. I’m sure a large dog could fit their way under it too.I have already called to complain but nothing continues to happen. All they need to do is fill that spot and make it safe. The reason for the small dog area is so that they stay in and others dont! Unacceptable. Will not return until fixed.
Peaceful. The park was surprisingly clean. No dog poop on the well kept grass (the parts we walked on anyway). No cigarette butts in the sand where the actual playground is. Loved it! There was some graffiti but nothing as bad as other parks we’ve been to.
