Beautiful place to stop to look up at the stars.
A short and easy trail right off the blue ridge highway. I prefer the Gully Creek trailhead which is nearby but if you want a quick hike this is a great option. There is parking at the beginning of the trail, and I did enjoy the open pasture land section at the beginning of the trail because it was different from most other trails I’ve been on.
This place is great, if you’re going to hike in the woods watch out for a lot of thorns.
Absolutely lovely trailhead. Very well maintained
We hiked the Fisher Peake and the Meadow View Trails with our 2 pups and really enjoyed the scenery of both trails. The Fisher Peake trail offered a climb up the Peake through beautiful Rota that were blooming. The trails crossed several streams and our dogs loved to get in the larger stream on the Meadow View trail. We could hear the music being played at the music center from the Meadow View trail. While both trails were enjoyable to hike, the Fisher trail was a little more challenging. However, both trails are doable for all ages and levels of hikers.
