So pretty and such a nice area to walk
Perfect place to picnic with the family, access the The New River Trail or go camping with plenty of parking, a playground and a restroom. We initially thought this was the southern terminus of the rail trail and parked one of our vehicles here. We had to ride on to the Galax parking access and back so we could claim 100% completion.
I love this little park/fitness area. Been here many of times for various activities, great place to walk, picnic, or have kids play. I’ll be coming back more often for walks on the trail or paved track.
We were visiting our son and decided to take the grand dog out for a walk! Beautiful trail, we saw so many deer 🦌! Would love to bring our bikes back and ride the whole trail! Nice walk and fairly level! Beautiful scenery!
