Our 1st visit. It was nice. We’ll go again.

The dog park is very nice, two separate fenced areas for little and larger dogs to play, plenty of shade, multiple benches, and water in the large dog area. Nice trail to walk from your car to the park. The only negative was, then even though poop bags and trash cans are provided, there was so much poop on the ground it made it difficult to enjoy.

My dog and I absolutely LOVED this park! It’s very beautiful and we got greeted by the giant Tom Petty sign when we entered. Very nice touch (we love Tom Petty!). So grateful to have visited and you should too. 🙂

Other reviews say this is the best dog park in Gainesville. It’s not. So far it’s the second best. There is a large large dog enclosure and a smaller small dog enclosure. There’s plenty of room in the park and they could both be bigger. There is a water faucet in both enclosures to give your dog water, and maybe even a bath in the dirt. It is however busy, we were at the park for about 45 minutes and my fur baby got to interact with about a dozen dogs.
The tennis courts were busy but nothing else.

Easy access, paved path, park at the southwest corner for closest access. Easily 100 yards from parking to off leash area. GNV city is very good at providing bags, readily available water, and refuse disposal. Lots of friendly people with friendly dogs. Standard dog park etiquette in effect.
