This trail was easy for me all I had to do was follow foot tracks in the snow most of the time.
The falls was partially frozen,I did not venture down the rope for a closer look at the falls,I would have If someone would have been there with me.

Beautiful remote falls. I had the whole place to myself when I was there. It was peaceful and quiet. I felt so refreshed from my time in nature.
Be ready for a 3 mile hike to see the falls. I think the long trek in keeps the falls in such beautiful pristine shape- they are radiant and look fairly unblemished by human activity. I hope we can keep these falls as beautiful as they are now in the future.

Great hike to a glorious waterfall and swim hole. Descend to waterfall via a rope to help you down and climb back up. Looks intimidating but it’s very doable for different skill levels. We parked on the forest road and had about 1.5 miles one way. Couple Creek crossings but pretty level trail with a slight uphill toward the falls. Glorious drive into trailhead as a bonus.

I really liked this place, but wanted to like it more. It is GORGEOUS, especially in the fall. I wasnt quite prepared for the difficulty of getting to it (i suppose it would feel less difficult if I were prepared as it wasn’t terrible). While I am glad the area isnt ruined with a parking lot, I would have liked to know about safe places to park (this is more a google issue than Falls issue). There are streams to cross. There are what appear to be apparent trails that become cut off. There is some signage for parts of trails, but they are not consistent. We did get a little lost with obvious user error there, but we were not the only people lost. We ran into another couple unsure of where they were coming from or direction to head. Because of the vastness of the area, a few more trail markers would definitely be of benefit. That said, now that I know what to expect, I would absolutely visit again and intend to. We found a big rock to sit at and just relax. Caution does need to be exercised in the area, but it was worth the small trek to see.
