Pizzurro Park in Gahanna, Ohio, offers one of the largest dog parks in the area, making it a top destination for local dog owners looking for plenty of fenced, open space for their pets to run, play, and socialize. This pet-friendly park is built with accessibility in mind, providing wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. The dog park features separate areas for small dogs and large dogs, a wide central paved sidewalk, and ample grass for off-leash fun.
Owners will find shaded seating areas, water stations, and fancy poop bags with convenient handles, making visits comfortable for both pets and their humans. The park also includes amenities like picnic tables, a playground, slides, swings, and an outdoor basketball court, perfect for families who want to bring both their kids and dogs for a day at the park. While Pizzurro Park rarely gets crowded, some visitors mention the grounds can get muddy after rain. Parking is plentiful and there are porta potties available, rounding out a very user-friendly experience.
The park is great, most of the dog parents are cool but there’s a few that treat it like a mall on the weekend and let their dogs just be patrolled by the responsible dog parents.
Only gave it 4 and not 5 due to the bad apples
Great clean park! It is a bit on the “natural” side, but we enjoy that!
I really love this park. When you pull in you drive a little to get down to the dog park. They have a HUGE dog park one of the largest dog parks I have ever been to. There is plenty of room and grass for all dogs to run around and play. There is a space for the trained show dogs to do the competitions, a little area for small dogs and then a big area that can be split into two areas but is always open. There is one big sidewalk down the middle of the park for people to walk and plenty of seats and tables. I went around 5 o clock and there were a good amount of people. There are plenty of water stations and lots of parking. They also have 2 porter potties if you have to use the restroom. They also have a park for kids to play on and a full size outside basketball court. The only problems I have with this park is that not many people go to it which is sad for such a giant park. Also when it rains it can get really muddy. Definitely would reccomend.
Our pup, Darla, loves this park. It’s a nice, large area to run and play with a shaded area for the pet parents. We’ve had nothing but good experiences here with dogs and people. Darla loves it!
Huge dog park! My beagle loved all that fence area to sniff. Plus the poop bags were fancy! No tearing apart, they had a little handle to pull them out of the box!
Everyone was really friendly! People and dogs!! We only went to the dog park!
