Atlas Canine Recreation Park is one of the premier dog parks in Fruitland Park, Florida, offering nearly 5 acres of open space for dogs to run, play, and socialize. The park features two fully-fenced areas specifically for small (under 30 lbs) and large dogs (over 30 lbs), making it a safe and welcoming spot for all breeds and sizes. Visitors consistently praise the park for its well-kept grounds, cleanliness, accessible amenities, and the friendly community of dog owners.
Dog owners will appreciate plentiful benches, water fountains for both humans and pets, and convenient access to waste bags and trash bins throughout the park. While shade is somewhat limited, early mornings provide cooler spots under nearby trees. The adjacent nature park offers a touch of scenic beauty, even though dogs aren’t permitted on those trails. Atlas Canine Recreation Park is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy this top-rated, dog-friendly destination in Lake County.
Large area almost 5 acres I would guess both small dog and large dog sections, with watering station and hose to clean ur doggie up.
Large open area for the dogs to run and play. People clean up after their dogs. Plenty of park benches. Well kept. Dog and people water fountains, hose, poop bags and can. Only some shade. Two fenced areas for dogs under and over 30 pounds.
Seems like most of the dogs are walked outside of the enclosed area. I saw people walking dogs as if the dog park wasn’t even there and using doggie bags for pickup if you know what I mean

Favorite park for my dog!!! The ones closet to my house were fearful for him. Adjacent to the nature park, which doesn’t allow dogs but is beautiful and serene is a wirthwhile trip. This is the first time my little one enjoyed other dogs. It was later in the evening, and everyone was so cool about my dog exploring and being curious about what other dog owners may see as inappropriate. When I did try to stop Newdle, my Yorkie, from embarrassing behaviors, the other owners told me to leave him alone. Their dogs began teaching him HOW to behave! Such a great experience to see him start to interact and behave well with others!!
Nice open areas for dogs to play with a small watering station. I do wish there was more shaded areas, but if you go in the morning you can catch some shade in trees. You do have to watch out for the mud puddles. It is well kept, most people seem to pick up poop here.
