Wood Family Dog Park is a spacious and welcoming spot for dog owners in Frisco, Texas. Conveniently located near local apartments and close to pet-friendly trails, this dog park offers three well-kept, separate play areas based on dog size—one for small dogs, one for large dogs, and one combined area. It’s a hidden gem for pet lovers looking for dog-friendly activities, set a bit off the beaten path for a more secluded experience, yet right next to a splash pad, playground, and city trails.
The park features ample space for your pets to roam, on-leash and off-leash, making it ideal for active dogs who love to run. Water fountains are available for thirsty pups, and restrooms are located nearby for owners. While there’s not much shade or seating, the park’s proximity to Frisco’s pet-friendly walking and hiking areas creates added convenience for those enjoying outdoor time with their furry friends. A word of caution—mud puddles may appear after rain, so plan accordingly!

It’s a nice dog park with 3 different areas depending on the dog size, but kind of secluded. It’s a bit past the very chlorine-smelling water play area, and it’s directly in front of bunch of apartments, which is kind of weird (great for apartment residents given the proximity but not so great for visitors since you can kind of feel like being watched). Aside from the location, the 3 dog play areas themselves are well-kept and nice. I guess they’re kind of on the bigger side with plenty of room for doggos to run around. Not much shade for people, though. It’s also close to trails so you can go for a walk if you want, but this also means quite a lot of bugs flying about.

The park itself is amazing and I have a 5 star review from last year, but these last few weeks there have been PUDDLES of mud that my golden just can’t resist. Won’t be coming here again.

Nice and big dog park, fountains available and restrooms with a splash pad and playground for kids. A little hidden but def worth a visit to let your babies roam around. Bring an umbrella though, not that much sitting areas or shade for owners.
