Frenchtown Park is a hidden gem nestled along Creek Road in the picturesque town of Frenchtown, NJ. This dog-friendly park offers scenic views of the creek and is a favorite for locals seeking a peaceful place to walk, relax on benches under shady trees, or unwind by the water with their furry companions. The location is ideal—a short walk from downtown, where boutique shops and pet-friendly cafes make for a convenient outing with your dog.
While not a traditional dog park with fenced areas or explicit off-leash zones, Frenchtown Park provides pet owners with open natural spaces, benches, shaded areas, and paved paths perfect for dog-friendly walks. Visitors appreciate the park’s tranquil atmosphere, connection to the water, and proximity to playgrounds for children, making it a great family destination to enjoy with pets. Trash and recycling cans are available, though guests are encouraged to keep the park clean for everyone.
Sad that people do not obey the posted rules about dogs and littering. The tables at the pavilion are dirty and it is unkempt.
Could be a nicer park if it was maintained.
Bathroom is strange…. It has two lockable stalls but it s not labeled men’s or women’s. Had to wait for some random dude to finish his business before I brought my daughter in to use it.
