Wonderful picnic spot and day use area. Has a playground area. Good swimming in the early summer before it gets too hot for too long. I’d say you’re taking your chances with swimmers itch if you go in mid July and forward.
Such a lovely little pond! Me and my wife were traveling through from Wisconsin to Spokane to see an Air Force buddy and happened to come across this pond just to change up drivers and stretch out legs a bit and we are SO glad we did!!! The water is so clear and warm! We visited during a heat wave so maybe it’s normally far colder but this day was just perfect for a relaxing swim.
Bathroom facilities and other park amenities were also well maintained and looked after. Stop by if you need a bio break from driving or if you’re a local and have never been yet!
Frenchtown pond is the best. Swimming and fishing for the kids, barbecue picnicking bathrooms, super nice people.

THE cleanest bathrooms we have ever found at ANY state park or rest area! The park had onsite park attendants that were very friendly. There were life jackets of various sizes at the welcome station that you could use. The area was very well maintained and clean!!
There is a playground for smaller kids, picnic tables with built-in BBQ’s.
I was surprised by there not being hardly any people at all there…it was a great experience and will be our #1 place to return to!!
Absolutely beautiful and clean! A great break from the road. You can take a swim 🏊♀️ if you have the time or just enjoy a picnic. There is a fantastic playground for the kids to get all their wiggles out!!!
