Fishing was slow, without of emergent weeds. The shorelines are choked with vegetation out to about 3 feet. My son managed to catch a decent little largemouth on the shore side of the vegetation in about 10 inches of water. That was the only fish of the day.
Nice small picnic area or fishing area.
Great place for a picnic and order do some fishing from shore
First time fishing here. The inlet was very weedy and slow. No actual bites. Wasn’t expecting too much with the summer heat, but wow! Headed out to the lake side and casted straight out. Caught 2 nice size bass and a pretty drum on a simple float and crawler setup. Definitely want to come back in the spring when the spawn is on.
Went fishing with the family here. Pretty park with lots of room. Covered picnic area. Restroom was locked. Fishing was mostly dead. But we still enjoyed the park and will be returning to the park on our next camping trip. I recommend this park to all families.
